Andrés Velástegui Montoya commenced his academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), supported by scholarships for equity, excellence, and educational practice in Barcelona. He further pursued his academic endeavors with a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Barcelona, facilitated by a scholarship from SENESCYT. He has served as a Researcher at ESPOL, affiliated with the Faculty of Earth Sciences Engineering (FICT), since 2018. Concurrently, he has been contributing as a teacher at ESPOL since 2012, imparting knowledge in various disciplines within Civil and Environmental Engineering.
