EARLY ACADEMIC PURSUITS

Mohammad Shafiur Rahman embarked on his academic journey with a strong foundation in engineering. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1983, followed by a Master of Science in Engineering (Chemical) from the same institution in 1984. Rahman's passion for food science led him to pursue further studies abroad. He earned a Master of Science in Food Engineering from Leeds University, England, in 1985, before completing his Doctorate in Food Engineering at The University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, in 1991.

He commenced his professional career as a Research Fellow at BUET, conducting research in the area of food drying and fuel utilization. Subsequently, he worked as a Chemical Engineer at Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Co. in Bangladesh, gaining valuable experience in leading and operating teams.
