Dr. Manikandan Elumalai’s academic journey is characterized by a steadfast commitment to excellence and a passion for chemistry. He completed his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Thiru. A. Govinthasamy Govt. Arts and Science College, Tindivanam, affiliated with Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, with first-class distinction from 2008 to 2011. This was followed by a B.Ed. from Sri Velavan Institute of Education under Tamilnadu Teachers Education University in 2011-2012, graduating with first-class distinction. He then earned his M.Sc. in Chemistry from R.K.M. Vivekanantha College, University of Madras, from 2012 to 2014, achieving first-class honors.

Additionally, he has a rich teaching background, having served as a Lecturer at Govt Central Polytechnic College, Tharamani, Chennai, from June 2014 to January 2016.

His work in bio-imaging studies using fluorescent noble metal nanoclusters and the development of colorimetric, fluorometric, and biosensing methods for heavy metal ions using silver and gold nanoparticles/nanoclusters has had a profound impact on both chemical and biological applications. His research title was “N-CHOLYL PENICILLAMINE ENCAPSULATED NOBLE METAL NANOSTRUCTURES FOR BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL APPLICATIONS.”
