PROF. KULAMANI PARIDA embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Hons), Physics, and Mathematics from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, in 1973. This foundational education laid the groundwork for his subsequent academic pursuits. He furthered his studies with a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry from Berhampur University, Berhampur, in 1976, enhancing his understanding of chemical principles. Prof. Parida's passion for research led him to pursue a Ph.D. in Surface and Bulk Properties and Catalytic Activity of Manganese Oxides from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, in 1981, marking the beginning of his significant contributions to the field of chemistry.


PROF. KULAMANI PARIDA's illustrious career is marked by a series of esteemed positions and roles dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering research excellence. He has held positions such as Chief Scientist at the Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar, and Director of the Centre for Nano Science and Nano Technology at Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar. His tenure at various research laboratories, including the Regional Research Laboratory, Bhubaneswar, has been characterized by groundbreaking research in materials chemistry and catalysis.


PROF. PARIDA's research focus spans the breadth of materials chemistry and catalysis, with a particular emphasis on nano-heterostructures, p-n heterojunctions, and isotype and Z-scheme/S-scheme oriented systems. His pioneering work has led to significant advancements in solar hydrogen generation, oxygen reduction, nitrogen reduction, hydrogen peroxide production, energy storage, and environmental remediation. Prof. Parida's deep understanding of structural, morphological, optical, electronic, and electrochemical properties has enabled him to correlate these properties with artificial photosynthesis, furthering our understanding of fundamental chemical processes.
