Israa Jihad El Hajjar embarked on her academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Public Health, laying the groundwork for her future endeavors in scientific research. This foundational education was further augmented by her Lebanese Baccalaureate (Life Science), providing a comprehensive understanding of scientific principles and methodologies.


Building upon her academic background, El Hajjar pursued higher education, obtaining a Master's Professional in Physics from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Science. This advanced degree equipped her with specialized knowledge and skills in the field of physics, preparing her for further research and professional pursuits. Subsequently, she embarked on a PhD journey in Physics at Beirut Arab University, Faculty of Science, demonstrating her commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and contributing to the academic community.


El Hajjar's research endeavors have been diverse and impactful. She has conducted research in Microbiology and Nanotechnology at Beirut Arab University, Faculty of Science, showcasing her multidisciplinary approach to scientific inquiry. Her work in Microbiology involved conducting experiments such as Broth microdilution assay, minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC), and time-kill test, contributing to the understanding of microbial interactions and antimicrobial efficacy. Additionally, her research in Nanotechnology focused on the preparation and characterization of nanomaterials (NMs) using advanced techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscope (TEM), and Energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, among others. These research efforts highlight El Hajjar's dedication to pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge and exploring innovative solutions to complex challenges.
