Prof. Dr. Sanasam Sarat Singh began his academic journey at Panjab University, Chandigarh, India, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2001. He continued his studies at the same institution, completing his Master of Science in Mathematics in 2003 and later achieving his Doctor of Philosophy in 2008. His doctoral thesis, entitled “Elastic Wave at a Corrugated Interface in Anisotropic Elastic Solids,” marked the beginning of his extensive research career in Wave Propagation and related fields. Additionally, he cleared the National Eligible Test for Lectureship (CSIR-UGC) in 2003, further establishing his academic credentials.

Prof. Dr. Singh has held various administrative and academic roles throughout his career. He served as a tutor for the “Mathematics Training and Talent Search Program (MTTS - Level O)” sponsored by the National Board of Higher Mathematics, Mumbai, in 2006 and 2007. His administrative experiences also include positions such as Micro-Observer in the Mizoram State Assembly Election (2008), councilor at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for Aizawl center since 2008, and various roles on boards and committees at Mizoram University.
