Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syed Muhammad Yousaf Farooq is a distinguished scholar in Diagnostic and Medical Ultrasound currently serving as Head of Department and Assistant Professor in Radiography & Medical Imaging at Green International University, Lahore, where he also directs the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization. He earned his PhD in Diagnostic Ultrasound (2020-2023), MPhil (2018-2020), and Master’s (2016-2018), all from the University of Lahore, where he also completed his Bachelor of Ultrasound Technology. Over his career he has held multiple leadership roles, including Research Head, Coordinator, Committee convener in curriculum, research ethics, and migration, and has worked as a sonographer in clinical settings. His research includes theses on renal cystic disease prevalence by ultrasound, sonographic correlation of adnexal masses and endometrial thickness in infertile females, and development of predictive models for female infertility based on ultrasonographic findings. His scholarly output has earned him an h-index ≈ 10 with total documents ~ 50-70 and citations ~ 300-500, reflecting solid impact in his field. He teaches at BS, MS, and PhD levels in Diagnostic Ultrasound and Medical Imaging, supervises postgraduate research, organizes conferences (including chairing in 2024), and contributes to institutional governance through roles in boards, ethical committees, and program oversight. He is committed to advancing ultrasound education and research in Pakistan.
